Our Client is a multinational leading company in his sector.
The hired professional will have as main responsabilities:- Ensuring the full technical readiness of vessels to meet the service commitments of the operating location; - Control of technical budgets for the fleet and project requirements, including monitoring and control of repair and maintenance budgets and recording of spare parts, fuel and lube oil usage; - Planning, coordination and management of maintenance, regular service periods, dry-dockings and vessel upgrades through the designated service contractors / vessel crew as appropriate, ensuring prompt return to the fleet.
The development and use of planned maintenance and purchasing systems via group computerized maintenance management; - Coordination of surveys, inspections and certification ensuring that the vessels are fully compliant at all times with local, national, flag and classification society requirements; - Input to the preparation of vessel specifications and appraisal of new tonnage requirements; - The promotion of safety and safe working practices as an operational priority, ensuring that adequate safety equipment is available with PPE worn in accordance with company safety management system (HMS); - In the event of damage to a vessel to prepare in conjunction with the Port Manager all necessary hull and machinery claim reports and claims documentation; - Undertake and perform such other duties as may be required from time to time to ensure the operational efficiency of the business.
The ideal candidate should meet the following profile:- Class 1 or Class 2 Certificate of Competency (Engine); - Preferably at least 2 years in offshore / towage shore management position; - Strong knowledge of industry rules and regulations, including IMO, ISM/ ISPS code and OVMSA; - Proactivity, good communication and problem solving skills; - Preferably holding ISM Lead auditor certification; - Preferably experienced in Risk management and Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis; - Driving License Essential.
